The face of Brown Girls Belong Outdoors

Hey Brown Girls,

My name is Kenyatta Bell.  I am the founder and owner of Brown Girls Belong Outdoors (BGBO). I am no expert on all things outdoors, but I enjoy exploring all of God’s creations. My favorite pastime includes traveling, spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, and most importantly trekking the Georgia trails with my spouse and Chinese crested (hairless dog). They are my best friends and from time to time you will see them make guest appearances on our page.

I created this site to share tips and trips I have learned along the way. From what to pack, places to go, unique finds, and many, many failed decisions (usually a lack of water). This is a space where I promote kindness and acceptance because I am no expert, but that does not mean I have no place within the realm of outdoor activities. I hope you take this journey with me, because I look forward to sharing that no matter what part of the journey you are on there is a space for Brown Girls Outdoors.
